The college was started in the year 1970 to provide education and to empower the women. Since beginning sociology was chosen as one of the main subject in Arts stream. Sociology Department, Empowerment and to prepare the students to face Competitive examinations. The Department of Sociology aims to provide better understanding and train the students of this area to face the challenges of life globally. The goal of the department is to make Sociology a popular subject in all walks of life both in theory as well as in practice, hence counseling of the subject is done before the student opting it.
