Women Empowerment Cell

A Women Empowerment Cell is dedicated entity focused on promoting the welfare and well being of female staff and students. It serves as a platform for gender related concerns, fostering awareness and creating a supportive environment.

Women Empowerment Cell is designed to empower women socially, economically, politically and legally with a focus on promoting decision making, self dependence. It conducts various activities and arranges Guest Lectures, workshops, women related events and awareness programme to accelerate the academic enhancement, leadership development and cultural enrichment in the lives of young women.

To empower, enlighten the young women and pave their way to grow into successful women in the society. It aspires to champion gender equality fostering culture by academically, professionally and personally

MISSION

  • Ensuring that every woman feels safe, respected and empowered to excel in her academic pursuits.
  • Creating awareness among the students about their social, legal and constitutional rights in order to prevent the exploitation based on gender.
  • Providing platform to express their ideas through various activities like Skit, Slogan writing, Debate etc.,
  • Eliminating under esteem, deep rooted beliefs of gender bias and discrimination.
  • Motivate to take steps towards positive action to protect nature and environment.
  • Impart ethical value, positive self-esteem and confidence in the young women so that they can take the decision.

OBJECTIVES

  • To organize events and activities for women empowerment and to create an environment to realize their full potential.
  • To empower the status of women through education, raising awareness, literacy and training.
  • To organize awareness programs on gender sensitization.
  • To empower women to make life-determining decisions through the different problems in society.
  • To organizing different activities to make women aware of their health, sports, self-defense etc.,
  • To empower women through skill building initiatives, leadership programme & opportunities for their academic and professional capabilities.
  • To create social awareness about the problems of women particularly regarding gender discrimination.
  • To develop the self-confidence of Women.
  • To guide about Women Welfare Laws and women rights.
  • To directs Women’s role in the society.
  • To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.
  • To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender.

ANNUAL ACTION PLAN 

The cell is planning to organize various programs with a motive to train girls about self defense, health benefits and skill development. The following are the list of activities planned:

  • Conduct programs to maintain dignity and respect of women and never to hurt physically or mentally.
  • Organize a session on health and nutritious food.
  • Organize a session on gender sensitivity through media.
  • To conduct International Women’s Day.
  • To organize a health awareness programme including health hygiene for women.
